“Then little children were being brought to Him in order that He might lay his hands on them and pray. The Disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them; but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs.”
Sunday school classes meet each Sunday from 9:30am to 10:15am during the traditional school year – September through May.
Children who are in grades PK-5 meet for Sunday school to learn about Bible stories through hands-on activities and stories. This class meets in the lower level of the Parish House.
Our youth meet in the lower level of the Parish House and use a variety of curriculums which focus on stories from the Old and New Testaments, exploring the lives of people who were called by God, and discovering saints throughout the years.
Children's Chapel provides our children ages PreK-5th grade an opportunity to worship together in the Chapel during the first portion of the 10:30 service. Children will rejoin their families following the sermon and continue worship in the Sanctuary. Children's Chapel is based on the worship structure and will help the children to practice worship behaviors together. Children will gather in the Commons before the 10:30 service.
Our nursery in the the Parish House during Sunday School from 9:15-10:10 and in the lower level of the Sanctuary at 10:15am and remains open through the 10:30am Eucharist service. It is located on the lower level of our main church building.
The nursery serves infants-4 year olds and is attended by our nurserty worker, Morgen Love and rotating church volunteers.
Students grade 6-12 are invited to participate in Youth group activities. Youth group is scheduled on varying Sundays during the month. Activities are planned and ameal is provided each meeting with time to fellowship together during the meal. Topics are generally based on youth interests and include both Biblical topics and current events. We attend WNC Diocean Youth Events such as Fall Conference, Beginning in the Middle, Spring Conference, and SPLASH!
Parents of children meet to fellowship
and explore their faith formation
together in the Parish House. This
opportunity provides parents a chance
to connect with one another through
coffee and prayer.
Family events are scheduled throughout the year. Some of the events that we enjoy together are our annual Parish Retreat, baseball games, and caroling together at local nursing homes.
