Giving Garden

Youth from the Diocese of WNC helped to construct three raised beds to get our garden started. As a part of this project, I am asking you to consider your role as any of the following: builder, planter, weeder, waterer, harvester, and/or distributor. If you have interest in helping, please send Rachel Minick an email ( or call the office (336) 667-4231.

We will begin official meetings of our youth garden club in June on Thursdays from 9:30- 11:00am. This time will allow for the children and youth of St. Paul's to engage in  the seed to table process and teach them how to be great volunteers. Projects include: seeding, harvesting, transplanting, weeding, releasing lady bugs, worm bins, composting and more. We will work in the garden and harvest the food together, deliver the fresh vegetables to our Crisis Assistance Ministries, and then spend time outdoors together. In the event of poor gardening weather, we will meet in the Multipurpose Room in the basement of the Parish House for garden-adjacent activities. Children aged 5 and under are welcome with a caregiver.
